Educational opportunities below assist 200hour Yoga Study participants to “makeup” missed hours and provide structured home practice assignments for dedicated students, teachers.
MAKEUP POLICY
Sun Moon Yoga 200hour Yoga Study: If you are substituting a full weekend intensive for another, $50 fee. Making up smaller segments: Workshops, audio and DVD material at participant’s expense. All materials available at Sun Moon Yoga Lifestyle Boutique.
Weekend Intensives:
Yoga & Healing Arts Bodywork Intensive
- April 9–11 (includes Reiki I certification)
- May 7–9 (includes Reiki II certification)

- The Art of Meditation - ($20)
- The Art of Relaxation - ($20)
Makeup Assignment: Following home practice with audio teacher, student creates lesson plan and presents to group (in same manner as CD instruction). Each CD provides a separate make-up opportunity.
DVDs:
- Enlighten Up! ($25) - This 80 minute documentary contains footage of yoga greats: BKS Iyengar, Pattabhi Jois, Dharma Mittra and yoga stars Rodney Yee, Gurmukh, and many others.
Makeup Assignment: Supplement viewing of documentary with internet research on biographies of five individuals featured. Who are they? What is their background, experience? Research Paper may be submitted by email.
- Yoga Anatomy with David Keil ($25) - Two hours of human anatomy in relation to yoga asanas. Beginning with basic anatomy terms and building to complex multi-joint movements, there is a lot of material for excellent anatomical cueing.
Makeup Assignment: Following DVD home study, student writes lesson plan to teach one yoga pose incorporating at least three clear pieces of anatomically-based verbal instruction, including anatomical terms and concepts. Lesson Plan may be submitted by email.
