SUN MOON YOGA’S GENEROUS COMMUNITY

Sun Moon Yoga Studio’s benefits are among our finest moments; uniting participants from more than 20 classes into one generous community.  This year I am enthused to make all benefits even more successful as it is the last time held by me as sole-proprietor of Sun Moon Yoga. We’ve got one more of each of these opportunities to enjoy being generous in 2012—let’s do it!

In memoriam to my dog Sheila, and inspired by long-time studio supporter and yoga student Suzi Kroon.  Her dedication, and the heart she has brought to the Blue Earth and Nicollet Counties Human Society Animal Shelter got me on board.  Monies come from donations at Friday classes/Halloween weekend.

2011: $381.00

THANKSGIVING COAT DRIVE (12th year)
November 22, 2012 (9:00–10:00am)

Timed with the Salvation Army Bundle Me Warm program, yoga students show up in droves on Thanksgiving morning with arms full of coats (many children’s with store tags) to take a free class together and help Mankato residents with less prepare for winter.

ECHO FOOD SHELVES (13th year)
December 17–22, 2012 (all week)

Sun Moon opened in January, and in December, I felt gratefully supported by the yoga community. Out of that gratitude the food drive was created. During the week of free classes offered in exchange for food donations the hallways of Sun Moon Yoga become heaped with abundance.
CONTRIBUTIONS:
2010: 339 pounds of food/ $500 in checks
2011: 298 pounds of food/$640 in checks
